Oxford Physiotherapy Clinics

OxPhysio offers an experienced team of physiotherapists who have worked in the NHS for many years and are qualified beyond the normal scope of physiotherapy practice. Our clinic rooms are located throughout Oxford and have been especially chosen with attention to their facilities and accessibility. Please see our advanced physiotherapy service section for more information on the benefits of physiotherapy and treatment costs.

Physiotherapy can help with many different conditions. OxPhysio offers expertise in Musculo-skeletal, Paediactric and Neurological conditions. More information can be found below or by visiting our team pages.

Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy

Musculo-skeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy relates to treatment of the musculo-skeletal system. This involves muscles, tendons, bones, joints, nerves, ligaments and cartilage. Musculo-skeletal physiotherapists provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with musculo-skeletal pain and dysfunction.

Paediactric Physiotherapy

Paediactric physiotherapists are not just those that work with children, they have the specialist skills and knowledge of child development, childhood diseases and conditions that may impact on development and wellbeing. They understand the impact that having a disabled child, or a child who is in pain, has on family life and will educate and encourage family involvement. They also have a great understanding of therapeutic interventions that enable and optimise development and well being.

Neurological Physiotherapy

Neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of individuals who have neurological impairments; for example Traumatic Brain Injury or Stroke; Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Cord Injury and Parkinson's disease. Our Neuro Physiotherapists will assess and treat individuals with such neurological impairments to enhance or maximise their functional ability.

Women’s Health Physiotherapy

Women’s Health Physiotherapy is the therapeutic treatment of all disorders affecting the pelvis and pelvic floor, from incontinence to prolapse, pelvic pain or constipation. With a steady rise in birth rates and an ageing population, more and more women are experiencing problems of a musculoskeletal, obstetric, urological, gynaecological and colorectal nature. 50% of women have a prolapse, regardless of their age or number of pregnancies, and 70% of women experience urinary incontinence at some stage in their life. A large number of women experience back or pelvic pain during pregnancy and 90% of women have a perineal tear during childbirth. At Oxphysio, we are very lucky to be able to offer a specialist physiotherapy service for women experiencing a range of problems associated with pregnancy, childbirth, motherhood, the menopause and ageing. We want to help you to regain optimum quality of life with the help of a specialist physiotherapist who will support and guide you through a thorough assessment, exercise regimen and offer you manual therapy as required.
