John moved to Oxford this year from Sydney Australia where he played top grade rugby in New South Wales. He now plays Rugby for Henley Hawkes and uses his time between training and matches to to help others who are experiencing injuries and pain. John graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy degree from The University of Sydney in 2014 following on from his degree in Exercise and Sport Science. John has a keen interest in exercise-based rehabilitation, which has developed due to his extensive sporting background. He has experience in working with a variety of sports and activities including rugby, football, basketball, athletics, weightlifting/powerlifting, canoe/kayaking and golf. He has personally experienced many of the injuries and conditions that he treats every day therefore he is able to relate to patients very closely on a physical and emotional level.
John is a certified Integrated Dry Needling Therapist and holds acupuncture clinics at Raleigh Park Clinic every Wednesday morning. His skills are not limited to sports injuries and acupuncture, he has been offering domiciliary visits for people in their own homes regularly over the past 3 years and is happy to see clients at home if they are unable to get to one of our clinics. John is experienced in working with clients of all ages and abilities and will work together with you to help you achieve your goals, whether that is returning to elite level sports or enabling you to walk again. Whatever your goal may be, he will work alongside you to help you achieve it.
