Jo Willmott BPhysio (hons) MCSP

Jo Willmott

After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2000, Jo spent a number of years gaining experience within hospital settings in Australia and the UK. She began specialising in Women's Health in 2005 and worked at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney from 2005 until she relocated to Oxford in late 2016. During this time, Jo also worked privately teaching pregnancy and post-natal exercise classes, worked in private practice and had two children of her own. After settling into life in Oxford, Jo began working as a Highly Specialist Women's Health Physiotherapist within the NHS in September 2017.

Jo has extensive experience treating musculoskeletal conditions of pregnancy such as pelvic girdle pain (PGP) and pubic symphysitis (SPD), as well as uro-gynaecological conditions including stress urinary incontinence, urge incontinence and prolapse. She has an interest in post-natal rehabilitation of diastasis of the rectus abdominal muscles (DRAM), or 'abdominal separation', and enjoys helping women safely return to exercise following pregnancy.

Jo has trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) to teach Pilates and regularly uses Pilates with clients as part of their management, as well as teaching group classes. She currently runs our post natal pilates classes on Friday mornings and offers a specialist women's health clinic in Raleigh Park Clinic on Mondays. She is passionate about getting women back to full fitness, full function and improving their quality of life.

Whether your goal is running the London marathon or getting to the post office, Jo will help you set realistic targets and give you the tools to help you achieve those goals.
