Chris Braund is a highly experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist who graduated from Coventry university in 1998. He possesses a wealth of knowledge in effectively assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. His patient-centred approach ensures that his treatments are tailored to each individual patients specific needs and goals, promoting optimal recovery and long-term well-being. Chris has extensive experience working within musculoskeletal physiotherapy in the NHS as well as in private practice. He has a particular interest in treating spinal conditions and neck related headaches after spending many years working alongside neurosurgeons in specialist headache clinics in Oxford. More recently Chris has moved away from secondary care and he been working as a First Contact Practitioner in GP practices. This role involves effective assessment and diagnostic skills in order to refer people on for appropriate ongoing care. He has developed close working relationships with many local GP's and consultants as part of this role. He has undertaken training courses to become a prescriber and to enable him to deliver injection therapy as part of his NHS practice. Chris has been teaching other physiotherapists evidence based manual therapy skills for the past 20 years within clinical settings as well as teaching on University MSc courses. He is a highly competent manual therapist who regularly calls upon his extensive knowledge and skills to teach other clinicians as well as successfully treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions himself. Away from work Chris enjoys walking and mountaineering so when he is not in clinic, he is likely to be found halfway up a snowy mountain in Scotland.
